Riley the Porcupine children's series

Wellness Kids

Hi RVA,

While perusing the my acupuncture groups on Facebook the other day, I ran across Riley the Porcupine from Wellness Kids Adventures. It didn't get much response in our forum, but I think it's worth a second glance. It would probably pair well with the Acupuncture Comic Book, my school made for it's student clinic recently.

Looks like a fun and informing way to teach children about Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. They have two books so far. "Riley... and his Magic Quills" and "Riley and Sklyar's Wellness Adventure." The first includes an Acupressure point charts for self-care at Home for :

  • Sleepytime
  • Cough, Fever & Cold
  • Stomach Ache & Constipation
  • Allergies
  • Meridian Organ System Chart

The second one "takes kids and parents on a healing journey through Autism, Friendships and Connection" in which "Riley explores Skylar's colorful world as they go on a series of wellness adventures and healing treatments." And introduces therapies such as:

  • Acupuncture
  • Craniosacral Therapy
  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
  • NAET
  • Diet and Nutrition Chart
  • Supplements and Vitamins

Wow, that's a lot of ground to cover in a colorful children's book, but the art looks very friendly and engaging. I can't wait to get a closer look.

in good health,

Sean
